What is the best game to play with
an infant?? Peek-a-Boo. Who knew covering your face
over and over could cause such a stir? It’s this sensory
stimulation that makes infants babble and coo. Using their eyes,
ears, noses and toes, babies explore and watch as the world around
them changes. Country Meadows Montessori highlights this time of
recognition and social interaction through music, play, talk and
movement. We are reminded everyday that simple learning tools, like
repetition, often lead to big rewards.
Babies need lots of
love. It’s how they grow and thrive. At CMM, we maintain
low teacher-to-child ratio — so every baby gets the attention
he/she needs to learn and develop at his/her own pace. And since
every baby is unique, no two infant's schedule is the same.
Our infant schedules are dictated by..the one and only -
baby. Baby knows best. And second to that is - you, the
parent. At CMM, we listen to your needs, your concerns, and
your instructions. When all is said and done, the infants
that we care for are yours. Therefore, the directions should
come from you.
The whole world is a
classroom
Infants at CMM feel loved and secure
— so they focus their energy on growing and learning. Stimulation
and social interaction foster curiosity and creativity, important
tools for babies as they move into childhood. We help infants
explore the world with their eyes, ears, fingers, toes, and senses
of smell and taste — the very first steps in learning. Just as
important to growth and development are cooing, babbling, reaching,
squirming, following and recognizing. So we include a variety of
experiences during the day, engaging infants with talk, music,
movement, dancing, outdoor and indoor play. And of course, every
day is filled with lots of cuddling and affection. We pattern
appropriate and loving interaction with each child, giving the kind
of attention that tells a baby — you are special. And with teachers
trained in infant CPR, first aid and early childhood development,
you’ll know your child is in a safe environment.
CMM teachers keep you in the loop
with a daily report on your baby’s day or milestones that he/she
has reached that day. At Country Meadows Montessori, we are
parents ourselves. We understand the anxiety and concern a
parent has leaving their infant child for the first time, the
second time, and maybe the third time. Feel free to call us
or check in to place your mind at ease. We are here for you
and your baby. Put your mind at ease that we care for your
children as though we are caring for our own. Here at CMM,
all of our children are safe, cared for, and loved.
